Collecting--start a tradition...

The collecting of Christmas tree pins is my favorite way of remembering each passing year. My aunt would open a box of her tree pins to the wonderment of her children, nieces and little friends. As she lifted each tree out of the box, she recounted a bit of family history or a memory she had of the year that tree was acquired. She placed the pin in the hand of the first child to pass around the group to. I still remember many stories she told and details about family I would otherwise have forgotten.
