A Victorian star surmounts a recess of deepest blue enamel on this florentine engraved locket. Smoke crystal and seed pearls are set in the star and the bail which slides along a double twist rope chain. Finished in .925 burnished silver.  Locket is 1-1/4" diameter. the inspiration...On a foggy winter morning in Camden Passage, I sought comfort in a tea shop. I seated myself at a table where another patron had laid out a small collection of her personal jewelry for sale. I bought a locket whose Victorian star motif so attracted my eye that I wore it before discovering the old photos of a little boy and his dog inside.
